Rock Mountain Technology Services, LLC, doing business as Tech Legion (“Tech Legion,” “we,” “us,” “our”), is a managed IT and cybersecurity company based in Orem, Utah. Tech Legion takes great pride in keeping your information private. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect through techlegion.com and related business interactions, how we use and share it, how long we keep it, and the choices you have.
“Personal information” means information that identifies, or can reasonably be linked to, a person or household. A random browser ID counts as personal information once it can be tied to you.
This Policy covers:
It does not cover data we handle for clients while delivering managed IT services. That data is governed by the client’s Master Services Agreement with us (see “Information We Handle for Clients” below).
This Policy describes our practices. Visiting the Site or submitting a form does not, by itself, give consent where a law requires separate consent.

Contents
When you send information to Tech Legion, certain information is necessary for us to follow up with you, including your name, contact information, and comments. We also collect some information automatically when you use the Site, and we keep business contact records for sales and marketing.
| Where | What we collect |
|---|---|
| Contact Us form | First and last name, email address, subject, comments or questions |
| Free Consultation, Fractional CTO and landing page forms (including the AI Security Assessment) | Name, work email, company or organization, phone number, and anything you write about your needs |
| Job Application form | Name, email, phone, position of interest, your message, and the resume file you upload (PDF or Word) |
| Meeting bookings (Microsoft Bookings on our Book a Meeting and Consultation pages) | Name, email, phone and the time you choose. Microsoft processes the booking for us. |
| Calls, emails and support requests | What you tell us, your contact details, and our notes about the conversation |
You do not have to give us personal information. If you choose not to, we may not be able to respond or provide what you asked for. Please do not send passwords, payment card numbers, Social Security numbers or health information through our forms.
When you visit the Site we collect:
Until you submit a form, your visits are tied only to a random ID stored in your browser. When you submit a form with your email address, we connect that ID, and the earlier pages you viewed on that browser, to your contact record. We do this so our team understands what you were looking at before you reached out.
When you give us a work email address, we may create or update a record for your company using the email domain and the company name you entered. We do not do this for personal email providers such as Gmail or Outlook.com.
We keep business contact information (name, title, organization, work email, phone, organization address and industry) gathered from our customer relationship management records, referrals, events, and public sources such as organization websites and public directories. We use it to contact organizations that may need IT services. We may combine it with information you give us and with your Site activity.
We may also review publicly available technical records about an organization’s internet domain, such as its email authentication settings (SPF, DKIM and DMARC records). We use the results to decide which organizations to contact and to tell them about gaps we found. These checks look only at public records. They do not access your systems or read your email.
We do not ask for sensitive personal information through the Site. If a resume or message you send includes it, we use it only to review your inquiry or application.
Yes. As is true of most websites, we collect information through cookies and similar browser storage. A cookie is a small text file a website places in your browser. Browser local storage works the same way but is not sent with every page request. We use these tools to measure how the Site is used, remember where a visit came from, and connect your visits to your inquiry once you contact us.
| Tool | Provider | What it stores or does | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
| Site analytics and contact records | Customer.io | ajs_anonymous_id cookie and ajs_user_id local storage: a random visitor ID and, after you submit a form, your contact ID. Records page views, clicks and form activity. | Cookie up to 365 days; local storage until you clear it |
| Lead source memory | Tech Legion (first party) | tl_attribution local storage: your first landing page, referring site, campaign tags and ad click IDs | 90 days |
| First and last touch | Tech Legion (first party) | tl_first_touch local storage: the first and most recent way you arrived at the Site | Until you clear it |
| Google Analytics 4 (through Google Site Kit) | _ga and _ga_ cookies: a random ID used to count visits and measure page use | Up to 2 years | |
| Spam protection on forms | Google reCAPTCHA v3 | Checks whether a form submission looks automated, using browser and interaction signals | Set by Google |
| Meeting booking calendar | Microsoft Bookings | Shows our calendar inside the page; Microsoft may set its own cookies | Set by Microsoft |
| Office map on the Contact page | Google Maps | Shows our Orem office on a map; Google may set its own cookies | Set by Google |
| Site login | WordPress | Login and settings cookies, only for Tech Legion staff who sign in | Session or up to 1 year |
We do not currently use advertising pixels on the Site, such as the Meta Pixel or LinkedIn Insight Tag. We do not show interest-based ads from the Site. If we add advertising tools, we will update this Policy first.
We skip analytics for known bots, for page previews and for signed-in staff.
We do not currently display a cookie banner. You can control cookies and local storage in your browser: block them, delete them, or browse in a private window. Blocking them will not stop the Site or its forms from working. You can also install Google’s opt-out add-on for Google Analytics.
The Site does not respond to the legacy Do Not Track signal. Because we do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal does not change how the Site works today. If that changes, we will honor GPC as the law requires.
If you reach the Site from a search engine, social media post, email or ad, we may receive the address of the page you came from and any campaign tags in the link. The other site’s own privacy policy governs what it collects.
Tech Legion uses the personal information we collect to follow up with you and to run our business. Specifically, we use it to:
We never use or share the personal information provided to us online in ways unrelated to the ones described here without first telling you and, where the law requires it, getting your consent or letting you opt out.
You can stop marketing emails at any time with the unsubscribe link in any of them, or by emailing marketing@techlegion.com. We process unsubscribes within 10 business days. We may still send messages you need, such as replies to your inquiry, meeting confirmations, or notices about services you buy from us. We do not send marketing text messages.
Tech Legion takes great pride in keeping your information private. We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. In the past 12 months we have not sold or shared personal information for those purposes. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 18.
We share personal information only with the service providers who run parts of our business for us, and in the limited cases listed below.
| Provider | What they do for us | What they receive |
|---|---|---|
| Customer.io | Contact records, website analytics, lead alerts and email delivery | Form submissions, contact details, Site activity, approximate location, email opens and clicks |
| HubSpot | Customer relationship management (sales records) | Business contact details and sales notes |
| Google Analytics, reCAPTCHA spam protection, Maps on the Contact page | Site usage data, IP address, browser signals | |
| Microsoft | Microsoft 365 email and files, Microsoft Bookings for meetings | Emails, booking details, internal lead alerts |
| HostGator (Newfold Digital) | Website hosting | Everything stored on the Site, including resumes uploaded with job applications and form entries held if delivery to Customer.io fails |
| Backup and IT tools | Website backups and security | Copies of Site data |
| Professional advisers | Legal, accounting and similar advice | What they need for the matter |
We give these providers only the information they need, and we expect them to protect it and use it only to provide their service to us. Google and Microsoft may also use some data as described in their own privacy policies.
We may also disclose personal information:
The Site links to our LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube pages, and to job listings hosted by ADP. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their content or privacy practices. We encourage you to read their policies before sharing information there.
We keep personal information only as long as we reasonably need it for the purpose we collected it, or as the law requires.
| Information | How long |
|---|---|
| Inquiries, consultation requests and business contact records | While we are in contact or doing business with you or your organization, then as long as needed for records, disputes or a renewed conversation. We review records with no meaningful activity and delete or de-identify those we no longer need. |
| Site activity, campaign data and approximate location | While useful for understanding interest and measuring campaigns. The lead source record in your browser expires after 90 days. |
| Email engagement | While you receive our emails. After you unsubscribe we keep only what we need to honor that choice. |
| Job applications and resumes | While the role, and similar roles, are being filled, and as long as employment law requires. |
| Spam submissions | Kept without contact details, only as long as useful for blocking future spam. |
| Privacy requests | At least 24 months, to show we handled them. |
To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of information, we have established appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online. Site forms are sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS), uploaded resumes are stored under random file names, and access to contact records is limited to staff who need it. No website or transmission is completely secure, so please do not send sensitive information through our forms.
When you apply through our Careers page, your application and resume go to our hiring team and are stored in our contact system and on our web host. We use them only to evaluate you for open and future roles and to contact you. Some job openings are listed on ADP, and applications made there follow ADP’s privacy policy.
When we provide managed IT, cybersecurity, backup or other services, we may access our clients’ systems and the data on them. We handle that data on the client’s behalf and under the client’s Master Services Agreement and instructions, not under this Policy. If you are an employee or customer of one of our clients, please contact that organization with privacy questions.
The Site is for businesses and adults. It is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Tech Legion operates in the United States, and we and our service providers store and process information in the United States. If you visit from another country, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States. Where the GDPR, UK GDPR or another non-U.S. law applies, you may have rights to access, correct, erase, restrict or object to processing, and to complain to your local data protection authority. Contact us to use them.
Whatever state you live in, you can ask us to:
Depending on where you live and whether a state privacy law applies to Tech Legion (for example, Utah, California, Colorado, Oregon or Texas law), you may also have rights to data portability and to opt out of the sale of personal information, targeted advertising, or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects. We do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising or that kind of profiling. Nevada residents may send a request about sales to marketing@techlegion.com with “Nevada Privacy Request” in the subject.
Email marketing@techlegion.com with “Privacy Request” in the subject, call 801-SUPPORT ((801) 787-7678), or write to us at the address below. Tell us what you are asking for and the email address or phone number you used with us. We will:
An authorized agent may submit a request for you with your signed permission. We may ask you to confirm your identity with us directly.
If we deny your request and your state gives you a right to appeal, reply to our decision with “Privacy Appeal” in the subject. We will respond in writing within the time your state law requires and tell you how to contact your state attorney general if you disagree.
We will not treat you differently for using any of these rights.
We update this Policy when our practices or the law change, and we review it at least once a year. The “Last Updated” date at the top shows the current version. If we make a material change, such as starting to use advertising tools, we will post it here before it takes effect and get consent where the law requires it.
